1977 85hp rude hard to start

hope someone can help!! I just bought a 1977 kingfisher with a 85 hp evinrude that has been sitting up for a while. I got it home and tried to start it with no luck. After changing the plugs and turning the motor over and over with a little help from starter fluid it finally started, the thing is, once it starts it runs great it's just getting it started! Can someone please give some input. thanks,

DO NOT use starting fluid as it has no lubricating qualities. If you're going to spray anything into those carburetors, use premix fuel/oil in a spray bottle.

The carburetors are fouled. Remove, clean, and rebuild them.
