All,
I am new to the Forum so thanks in advance too all who help me figure out what’s going on with my outboard.
Background: I’ve recently replaced all coil packs and the power pack trying to get rid of a misfire. Misfire seems as if the engine is running on two cylinders. I also replaced the spark plugs with new one. I rebuilt the carbs thinking i was starving for gas and that still did not fix the issue. I did notice a spark coming from the power pack ground wire. Regrounded in different location but hadn’t had a chance to water test. Would a bad powerpack ground cause a misfire?

A sparking ground wire from the powerpack? In essence.... now it's grounded, now it's not! Yeah, that'd give the engine a miss. Might not be your problem but it would be one of them.

Sorry for the typos in previous message. But i plan to start the engine up tomorrow on water ears to see if the change fixed the problem
