"just cleaned carbs,they were very clean,any ways i did this because the motor would start run rough then if i move the lever for cold start it would rev up and down and respond ok,then in idle position it would run like it has a miss then it would race almost out of control.i would try adjusting the idle screw and no change in rpm,i would try the misture screw even when it runs rough.tried new gas,different fuel tanks.this is the same symptoms i had before i did the carbs.any help would be great.thanks"

"1. Check to make sure the carburetor butterflies are closing all the way.

2. If they are, look at the timing advance arm. It should move with the throttle and return smoothly when the throttle is closed. The sometimes bind due to old hardened grease, etc.

3. If all that checks out, you may have an air leak somewhere behind the carburetors.

My bet is on #2."
