"i just got this boat did some work on boat and wiring. whwnt to start boat and i got white smoke and black oil out of the exhust port,did have muffs on but did not see any water come out any where?"

White smoke indicates water in

White smoke indicates water in the cylinders. Not good. Is the boat missing when it is running? Oil out the exhaust isn't good either.
Do a compression test and let us know....

the motor does not have a miss and there is no water in the oil nice and clean?
