1976 mie 255 [gm]

Looking for the correct engine oil dipstick for this 1976 Mercruiser 255 GM single engine inboard. I can't seem to find this particular model. I don't have a model number, just the year/make.

The dipstick is on the starboard side of the engine, if it matters. The one in it seems a bit long, like a half inch or so.

I do not know the part number.
However, in my experience with something of this nature, I would drain the crankcase, change the oil filter and add the correct amount oil, as per the owners manual. Start and run the motor, shut down, and just remark the dip stick.

You might find one in a junkyard.

Yah maybe clip off a little off the end, and do an oil change. Thank you both for the help.
