1976 Evinrude Power Pilot control box wires

I have a 1976 Evinrude Power Pilot control box that has only 3 wires coming out of it. This is on a 1976 Glastron T-156 with a 1976 70 HP Evinrude motor.

1 wire is black

1 wire is purple

1 wire is red

I assume the black is the ground but what are the purple and red wires for and where do they connect to the motor's wiring? I've searched the net but have not seen any schematics in regards to this throttle assembly in regards to the wires.

Look closer.... Are you sure those wires aren't Black, Purple, and Tan?

If so, they would be: Black/Ground... Purple/12 Volt Supply... Tan/Tachometer Sensor. (Tachometer connections)
