Engine runs great, water is not pumping. Removed lower end and opened up waterpump to inspect impeller, it looked to be in good shape,cleaned and applied lithium white grease, checked water tube and water inlet port, clear. Still not getting water flow, need to find direction of impeller to verify correct direction? Help

For what it's worth, I had a water pump in a 75 9.9hp that looked perfect, but never pumped water for some mysterious reason. I put another (used) pump in there (with same impeller), and water came out. Never could figure this one out. The pump inner walls looked good with no deformation, another weird one I guess....

Water tube must b installed into the exhaust housing first.---------That is if it came out stuck in the pump.
