I picked up a 1976 StarCraft Montego a couple months ago. Its in really great shape and is powers by a Mercruiser 233..aka Ford 351..the only issue we are having is the tilt/trim is being unreliable...sometimes works sometimes not...I'm thinking there may be a leak on the bottom of the trim pump. I have pulled up the schematics of said pump and there are 4 o-rings stacked between the valve body and bottom plate. I guess my question is what's your opinion on trying a rebuild or something else? Both solenoids have been replaced and pump runs. Also do they make a complete after market assembly I could just swap out and have the piece of mind?...Any and all thoughts on this boat and setup would be appreciated.
