1975 merc 110 fuel issue

Carb pukes gas while pulling rope start. I rebuilt carb including new needle and float. Needle valve seat can not be replaced as it is pressed in and the

manual says not to try to change its non removable.

Ive primed the carb while off the motor and no leaks but gushes fuel when rope pulled as stated above. Once the carb "clears" it runs fine.

Ive read about other issues like mine but havent seen a fix for it. Im afraid that needle seat is worn and sucking gas when im trying to start it. I adjusted

float and seems to be correct

Any insight would be appreciated

Is driving me crazy.

Try lowering the float level 1/16 " at a time until it stops leaking.

I clamp the carb in my vise to do this--far less work!
