Rebuilt carb replacing needle valve and fuel pump gaskets, idle mix adjustment pin and main jet.

SEloc manual says I cant replace needle seat cause its pressed in? Id like too.

Carb pukes gas out the front when i pull the starter rope.

Once it starts it runs fine and no longer drips gas as it keeps up.

Float and /or needle issue?.

It has the old carb with the integral fuel pump. Type B in the seloc manual. I did not mess with float just removed it to change needle valve.

Tnks for any input.

You have to adjust the float drop if this is your carb 1975-carb.jpgWhich "needle seat" do you want to replace?

The needle seat for the float is the one i want to replace, i changed the needle valve but not the seat it goes into. I swear i saw a video on youtuve that shows a guy that does this for a living ,he jut popped it out with a screwdriver. its not screwed in unfortunately

Float looks good, doesnt sink in container of water. I will pull carb and check float settings. Thanks for the info.

Try lowering the float level another 1/16 of an inch.

I clamp the carb in my vise and pressure it up with a test tank to see if it leaks. If it still does, I lower the float level another 1/16 " until it stops.

Thanks Jeff. It only leaks when pulling the rope to start it. Once started its fine. I tried that , Filled up carb and pressurized it with no leaks?

Same issue?

I pulled bowl off the carb and the float is binding. It is rubbing against side of the chamber when it drops just a little and hinge pin is new

They show a completely non adjustable all plastic one and a float with a adjusting tab like the one I have.

Has anyone used the non adjustable one or should i stay with the standard tabbed one for a replacement?
