I have a question about what we are told are two exhaust baffles. I have not been able to find them in any parts diagram or manual that we have seen. Does this year engine need them or is it just something someone has added for some reason or another. Also the motor runs as good as new, but will not run but about 4000 RPMs wide open throttle with it trimmed out. Dont know why its not getting more out of it other than maybe these baffles are having something to do with restricting it some how. Also if this helps it is on a 1988 Cajun fish-n-ski 18ft. Thanks for any help in advance.
