1975 johnson 135 hp

Motor will not go into neutral or reverse, pulled apart remote control; gears and cables are all working; removed lower from motor; removed prop bearing housing; reverse gear How do you get the clutch dog out to remove pinion gear and nut?

i have one but its not eny help with removing cluch dog

It's been awhile since I had one of those apart, but I beleave the dog comes out with the shaft.
