I was at an idle for about two

I was at an idle for about two minutes when the engine killed. It would not restart due to no fire from plug wires. I am trying to verify if the key switch is the culprit. From the keyswitch there is a black with yellow stripe wire that goes from the ignition switch to the power pack. This wire does not have any fire (checked with test light) in it. I also checked the sensor and coil wires on the power pack and when the engine is spun over these wires go to ground. Thank You in advance for any help.

"Test for spark with the spark

"Test for spark with the spark plugs removed!

Remove the black/yellow wire (kill circuit) from the powerpack. If you now have spark, the problem is usually a shorted ignition switch.

If still no spark, the problem is usually a blown powerpack.

NOTE: Do not ever apply voltage to that black/yellow wire leading to the powerpack as that will destroy the powerpack rather quickly.

Let us know what you find."
