I just replaced my ignition switch because the engine would not fire up. In trying to find the problem of why my engine would not fire up, I unhooked the black with yellow wire from the power pack. I also unhooked the two yellow wires of the rectifier. I did reconnect the black and yellow wire to the power pack after I found my ignition switch was bad. My question is, can a rectifier cause the engine to race or run erratic, I still haven't reconnected the two yellow wires of the rectifier yet.
