"I have a 1975, 70hp Evinrude

"I have a 1975, 70hp Evinrude ( model 70573) with a cylinder that is froze. Can I replace the powerhead with a 1980, 70hp Evinrude? If I can, is it a job I should take on or do I need a certified machanic?"
