1975 50ES758 value

I am looking at buying a 1975 50hp johnson outboard. I am wondering what this is roughly worth. It have very little wear on it as there is still paint on the top fly wheel.

Any help would be great.

Any pictures of this motor ???-------I don't think they painted the flywheels in 75.

no pictures. The model number and serial number is all I have. I assumed it was painted because it was sort of an olive green colour.

The motor is very clean looking.

I do not believe they came out of the factory with paint on the flywheel.-------Any pictures ???---------------You may want to have this motor looked at by a shop , before spending hard earned cash.!!!

ok, maybe its my terminology, I am talking about the big toothed wheel right ontop of the motor when you take the case off.

That was never painted when it left the factory !!!!!!!

Depending where you are located has lots to do with prices.Here in Mn I have seen some 50s recently in that age range going from 200 to 1200.which also depends on condition which is manily looks.some testing is in order first.They are good strong motors if the previous owners took care of them.What is the asking price?
