1975 188 Mercruiser Trim problem

I have a 1975 Caravelle 21 ft Mercruiser 188 - V8. The OD will not come up. Down is no problem. I have looked at many threads which state there is a manual override, and/or a trailering switch, but I cannot find it on mine. Also the schematics all show "two" solenoids, but I can only find one which is located on top of the pump. Help anyone who knows about old boats and the wring diagrams associated. Did Mercruiser change the trim after 75 or am I just not seeing what is there? Please help, thanks.

On the early ones there is 1 solenoid for "up" operation. no solenoid for the down operation. do you have the 2 button panel? top is trim up. top AND middle together trailer , bottom button down. using a jumper to the small lug of the solenoid test for operation, solenoid should be grounded on the other small lug. if motor still does not work and solenoid does click ,attach jumper to the motor wire and see if motor turns.
