" I recently bought a 1974 johnson 70 hp. I had a reed valve broken, and the fellow that I bought it from had dissasembled the motor, for a replacement of all gaskets and to inspect the rest of the internal parts. After re-assembling the motor, we are down to hooking up the wiring and fuel lines, but cannot find a fuel pump. According to the Clymers shop manual, the johnson motors use a self contained fuel pump. but on this motor there is no apparent place for one. the guy I got the motor from is helping with the re-assembly but cant remember about this part.Any help would be apprreciated. If there is one, a photo or an exploed view would be very helpful.
