"I left my 1974 Johnson 2HP outside in a van over the Wisconsin winter
Generally this causes the capacitor to fail and the points to burn if I run it (which I have not yet). Can anyone tell me how to change the cap? Even better yet would be how to check the points and if bad, replace the points and cap and set the timing. In the past I always took it to a dealer, but would like to do it myself if possible. I have a friend that has a Top Dead Center meter (if needed). Thanks in Advance for any help
