1974 evinrude cooling issue

I've got a 1974 evinrude 50 hp that is overhearing I've already c changed the water pump water pump housing and the thermostat. It still over heating any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

No I didn't turn the drives haft but water is gushing out..so I know the water is pumping

No its not a salt water motor..and what gets me is it only over heats while idling if u throttle it up it doesn't over heat

I have a 1971 50HP. Just added a Telltale a week or so ago as per the instructions here.

You may also be able to do it like I did. The motor like mine is at the end of the thread.
