1974 15hp evinrude fastwin

I have inherited a 15 hp Evinrude fastwin outboard motor and I am trying to replace the waterpump. I need Help with the Lower unit Disassembly....once the bolts are removed it still doesn't come off. There are two screws on the shifter cable just inside the housing, do i disconect these or is there another way?

any help is appreciated

It was the smoothest, nicest motor we ever owned.
