My starter was crankly too slowly to start....so....:

I have put a new starter in, I have put new battery cables in, I have checked all electrical connections, I have charged the battery well. It was working great for a while and now it is back to cranking too slowly to start. Ideas?

Are you sure it is too slow to start, or is it requiring faster-than-normal cranking to start? It could be that the charge coils on the stator are weak (1973 was a big problem with that). Look for signs of the coils dripping goo. If you feel it is indeed cranking too slowly, you need to do some voltage drop tests. Did you do that before you started replacing parts?
