I am doing a complete redo of a 17' 1968 Starcraft and the boat is nearly finished. The engine is next.
My Seloc manual skipped the wiring diagram, but the 1972 is similar, but not exact. Where could I get the correct one? Will the original OMC on this website give me what I need?
Is this engine worth doing a serious overhaul on and will I be able to find most parts I need?
Engine has not been run in 15 yrs.
Compression check will be first."

I can't say enough about that engine. I have a 73 also...it is great!! If you're going to take the time and do it right...DO IT. This motor is the best 65hp I've ever owned. Easy to work on. Great power/response.

I will likely order the OMC manuals anyway.
Information is not a bad thing.
If you could, Paul, look on your wiring terminal block pin 4 counting from the top. Mine is empty. The 72' diagram shows two wires there.
Everything else seems to match up?"
