Hi guys i was wondering ......? Is it normal to hear water gurgling against , what must be, the exhaust? Also what gasket should i be looking to replace if water is getting in the engine compartment.?

sorry, when my 65373r is running on muffs. i hear a gurgling sound as if water is being boiled. the sound comes from the inner leg area underneath motor ). i think where the exhaust goes down. Is this specific motor suppose to have water going up there in the first place?.
. also when running on the lake it takes on water in the rear bottom left area of the engine compartment.

Pretty difficult to identify the problem from a distance, but to answer your question, yes water does go down through the leg. In fact it fills up with water. But never heard of one gurgling and it shouldn't be boiling if it is getting sufficient water.

Ok , i finally got my carbs together so i was able to run it this weekend... Must say runs awesome after adjusting the choke levers so they function smooth and fast.
Anyways. I think i understand my issue a little bit better. When engine is running water is spraying into engine from really down low right side of engine. (lowest point solenoid side). I do beleive the gurgling sound is just the excess water hitting the exhaust tube. I think it may be the powerhead gasket. does this sound right?. and if so is it hard to change. ?
