A quick check - Run it for a c

A quick check - Run it for a couple of minutes with the cowl off. The powerhead should be warm to the touch. Temps that make water Sizzle is too hot.
There are other ways but this one is pretty simple.

now by warm to do you mean hol

now by warm to do you mean hold your hand on there or a quick feel i have only ran it for like five minute intervals and it only got up to about 100 degree what should it run at and what are some other ways of checking

If you can leave your finger o

If you can leave your finger on it for an unlimited amount of time - it is good. Somebody sells the laser temp checker gun. Maybe Harbor Frieght? You just point the thing at the hot source - squeeze the trigger and a red beam point to the area it checks and reads on the scale visable to the operator.. A pistol looking thing. Sears probably has them too.

Yes but a boat motor should ru
