1972 Rienell 22' Crusier Engine ID

Guys,

I just inherited a 1972 22' Rienell Cruiser with a Mercruiser Outdrive and a V8 engine but am wondering what the engine is exactly.....seems to be the original....any ideas?

Well, it looks just like an old V8 engine with a two barrel carb stuffed down into a smallish engine box. Manifold and Heads are indistinctive to me.
