1972 johnson 100hp no spark

i just bought a 1979 glastron gt150 with a 1972 Johnson 100 and its not getting spark, the coil and distributor have been replace by the previous owner so i did some testing on the terminal block and the purple wire isnt getting 12v when the keys on whats this mean please help

There is more than 1 purple wire there I believe, so which one ( terminal # is )???---------------Will the motor crank ??----------Checked the fuse ?

yes the motor cranks very well and i checked the compression and it is good, i forget which # it is. i parked the boat at my marina and its 40 miles from my house i will look this Thursday. the coil is getting no power to it when the key is on either

ok so here is an update i checked the engine fuse it is good and i talked to the previous owner and he said that he thinks a wire coming off of the pulse pack could be in the wrong place so i took a pic of the wire and where it goes to is this right i dont have a wiring diagram the wire that has a blue end on it is the wire in question on the pulse pack. IS IT IN THE RIGHT PLACE

It is confusing with these different connecters / colours it means very little to me.---------------It is hooked up to ground on the one end.

the coil isnt getting 12v when the key is on. does anyone have a wiring diagram to show me

The pulse pack gets the 12 volts, not the coil.

im going to replace the pulse pack and just see what happens
