1972 Johnson 100hp Hydro-Electric water pump

Ok I seen where yall were talk'in' bout changing out impeller,,,,,ok got all the bolts out,yes even the one under the what you call it,,,got string tied to wires I have to bring back up,,,are there a bolt up top I have to looseing to let the shaft slide out because this sucker wont budge.

There are no bolts at the top that hold the lower unit on.

Drive shaft splines may be stuck in the crankshaft.

Ok boobie I forgot which way this oil retainer goes into pump housing does it go flat side in or the side where you can see like a spring looking thing
