"hello all ,thnx for your comments on my last posting about my 1972 hydro elct shift concern.since theres been an on going concern about the breaking of the control box's three way switch. I have found a pretty good fix since there is no more avalable switchs out there.I purchased a head lamp control switch wired it up and put it in a small electric control box and mounted it righ onto the control box it self so there we have it a great way to fix this issue ...i mounted it verticle so the all the way in is forward next position out is nuetral ,all the way out is reverse easy easy easy ,and i get a full range of throttle in the nuetral position which is a great feature for these old outboards like to load up while idling ."
