1972 Gimble bearing removal

New to site and boat repair.

New to site and boat repair. have 72 110 hp inboard have outdrive off how do i get the bearing out? I got the c clip off and a slide hammer but it wont come out should i keep beating on it any help would be great pete
 
i use a chair with wheels on i

i use a chair with wheels on it and slide with the hammer ussing all possible weight. remember this bearing has been in its place for a long time and if you are repacing it it is probably bad and corroded in place if you have all your bellows out of the way you can heat area around bearing you can also drill it
