"1972 9.5 MOD.# 9222M One website says J4C and another says J6C. Now, does this mean I can use either plug, does it mean I can use what I want, or does it mean I can use whatever I can find. Very confusing, this outboard thing.... Is one place wrong over another or is it just someones opinion?"

"I just got a 1969 Evinrude 9.5 and the plugs it has in it are JV4, the Champion Plugs I bought are supposed to fit and have JV4 in the part#, but are abound 3 or 4 threads longer than the orignals will they work?"
