Tested overheating horn. It works.

Moved the choke solenoid wire.

Another test drive. Seems to have solved the problem. Took it for a run and it didn't skip but didn't quite finish the testing. It was pretty windy out on the water. She would only go 5100 RPM's and 30 MPH. Last time she would go 5500 RPM's and 32 mph. Maybe is was the weather. Anyway if it runs this fast without issues I am happy. Would like to have run just a little longer but the engine quit. The motor stopped like someone shut off the key. Would do nothing when you turned the key.

Did some trouble shooting and it was the 20 amp fuse. Didn't have any spares but I do now. The fuse wasn't blown just came apart. It looked pretty old.

Installed a new fuse and she fired right up.

Thanks Joe for in information on the OMC service bulletin. I would of never thought of this. The butterflies go fully open and shut now. I think we fixed the problem and I will let you know how she runs next time I take her out which should be in the next couple days.

Check you choke if your motor runs rough!

Also 1 other thing. I did replace the blocking diode in the remote throttle and now the engine shuts off.

For you boaters: Check the blocking diode in your throttle remote if the engine won't shut off.
