If not you can check the NADA guide, I think it only goes back to 1974, but that will be close enough. Some people say that the NADA guide is usually lower than actual value.

In most cases with a motor of that age I suggest that people find a use for it or a friend that needs it..."

"Help, I just obtained a Johson late model 25hp OBM Model # J25ELEED from an estate sale. Unfortunately the user manual had been lost.
What I really need to know is the proper fuel/oil mixture ratio and what type of oil, grade / weight / whatever should I use for this particular engine. I just want to do the right thing for this engine so I don't inadvertently harm it in any way."
