"Hello, Was hoping someone has maybe removed the Gimble ring upper swivel shaft in a #1 drive. It is a 120/140 hp. outdrive. The manual shows no bolt at the top of the upper swivel shaft but the guy at the boat shop where I bought the gasket kit says there should be one. I removed an allen head bolt from the outside top of the gimble ring and a bolt/nut from inside 2 pipe plugs on the side of the gimble housing. Boat store says I should see a nut in thru pipe plug holes and tap it loose using a hammer and chisel or punch? I do not see this nut???"
