Hello Guy's
I just took the side covers off of my motor to see if the bleed restrictors are gone.Well they are either gone or were never put in or they didnt use them on this model.According to my book they did,but my book shows a variety of motors starting late 60's to early 80's so my question is does anyone know?? engine Mercury Outboard 800 serial number 3192882...

:) Hi Steve,
They were put in but over the years, they either got sucked in or blown out. They are still available but are a SOB to put in.They are plastic and are so because they may cause damage to the clys otherwise when they are drawn into the cyl
The bore is .060"/1mm.The bore of the drain is .125/2mm.The diameter of the restrictor is .180/3mm or thereabouts. I know 'cause I have worn this particular Tshirt.:( So if you find an easy way to get them in please please let me know.:DAnd good luck.
