"hello. i recently bought a 1971 evinrude 60 hp. 3 cyl. outboard. i dont know anything about it and to tell the truth i dont even know if its a two or four stroke. if it is a two stroke what is the proper fuel mix. other than that i dont know if it even runs. once i know the anwser to the the fuel question i will proceed to try to start it. it has a control box that says selectric and someone has tryed to do there own repairs on it and left me with a mess. there are several wires laying loose in the box and i dont know where any of them go, i will update this info later with exact colors of them. any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated as i am trying to get this old boat running for my wife before she gets done recovering from her fight with cancer. thanks a bunch"
