1971 100hp johnson

I don't think there was a pee hole used in that year, unless someone installed it later.
Where are looking at to see the pee hole?

at the the port side of the engine it was working fine I had the boat out four about 3 hours and it started to putter then Inoticed no water comming out shut motor down had A BOAT MECHANIC REPLACE WATER PUMP TOOK ENGINE OFF BOAT REPLACED ALL GASKETS FROM LOWER END AND UP

Did your mechanic check the hose to see if it is plugged?
Use a piece of weed eater string, run it up the hose while engine is running to see if it is plugged.

I have run water through the hose from the thermostat and it pours out I called a few marinas and one said it might be the vermatherm Do you know where that is I realy appricate your feed back Kevin

The vernatherm is located in the thermostst housing between the cylinder heads. There is a hose (about 3/4") that runs from the bottom of each head to the thermostat housing.
Go to the johnson website, punch in your model#, that will take you to the parts breakdown for your motor, go to the exhaust housing and look at #101 towards the left side of the page.
