1970's? Pull cord help!!!!!

I have a 6hp chrysler 1970 somthing, yesterday i was pulling it and the cord broke. I got the whole recoil system out and i need help installing the rope. There looks to be 3 holes on the black thing, anyways i need help pictures would be AWESOME even if its just a good view of how to tie it to the recoil, installing the recoil system would be a great help as well. Thanks guys need this thing up and running later today so anything is appreciative!

Maybe you just need to start it the old fashioned way for now.------------Wrap the rope around the flywheel and give it a yank.
