Hi . I have a 1970 1150 and a 1977 1150. Has trouble with going into gear when I brought boat last month. I would notgo over 10mph and would stall. Took lower end off and couldnt get back on. Paid a repair guy $140 to put on but he couldnt get boat to run so not sure it was fixed but he gave me his word it was in N. I got boat running and still have same issue with shift shaft in motor locked up and i can spin prop clockwise but it makes clicking sound with each turn. Thats F gear correct? So should controller be in F whan I attach cables. Plz help. Very new and super frustrated. Thank you
Also forgot to mention repair man put Lower from 1977 on the 1970. I think thats not a problem but worth mentioning. He says it was fine when I left so not willing to even look at it again.
