I'm having a problem with

I'm having a problem with my 1970's 4.5 mercury outboard.It has a missing problem at idle and a slight one at higher rpm's. I have gone through the points and they are in good shape and adjusted to 16 thousands have rebuild the carb and tryed many adjustments. it idles and revs very good but has that miss which at low idle will eventually make it stall.have replaced plug with no help is there anyone out there that can help.

I guess I need to read better, if you pump the bulb does it help. "
