1970 9.5 hp carb

hello im rebuilding my 1970 9.5 hp carb and i noticed that on the carb body just to the left of the low speed adjustment needle there is a small hole in the casting i think there is supposed to be like a little lead shot bee bee that is supposed to be there and it is gone can i just plug this with a screw or JD weld or do i need to find this bee bee thank you clay
