"I wired up the electric shift

"I wired up the electric shift like i was told how to do, but it starts still in forward and if i try to start it in reverse it works sometimes. But it will not start in neutral nor will it shift into neutral while running. I checked all wiring with a multimeter and it is reading 12 volts on wires when put into reverse and neutral. I took the lower unit off checked all wires and they are all good. Is there anything i'm missing?? And what does LOOPED CHARGED mean??"

Did you check the lower unit o

Did you check the lower unit oil? It must be filled with type "C" or premium oil to shift out of fwd gear.

Time to visit an ELECTRIC SHIF

Time to visit an ELECTRIC SHIFT specialist to sort this out. There are some with a vast quantity of parts and knowledge.

Sure can LOOP CHARGED is the t

Sure can LOOP CHARGED is the term / description given to the way new air and fuel is introduced to the cylinders. one way is the conventional method where holes are drilled at 90 degrees to the cylinder and a deflector on the piston direct the flow to push the exhaust out.Now on your motor the passages are position in such a way that the 3 streams of fresh air converge ( loop around )to scavenge the exhaust out of the cylinder. This means there is no deflector needed on the piston.Simple it is.

"Recheck your voltages going t

"Recheck your voltages going to the shift solenoids. Disconnect both the green and blue where they go down to the L/U. With the key on shift into fwd gear, there should be no voltage on either wire. Shift into neutral, you should have 12V on the green wire only. Shift into reverse, you shoud have 12V on both green and blue wires. If voltages check good, check the solenoids with an ohm meter, they should read 5-7 ohms. Hope that helps."
