1970 60 hp esld johnson

hi there.i have afew qustions.first i just went over my motor . new amp coil stator rectifier fuel pump and new hose and tank. rebuilt carbs. had 125 comp in each hole.allso put new boyson dual stage reeds in. got her to run to find out the upper crankshaft is chatterin.bad upper bearing. hear is what is goin on. to get her at a smooth idle with the muffs or on the water is eratic .some times she will pur other times she wont. ive messed with it for aweek. now please tell me will a bad bearing cause a ruff idle.it seems the rpms go up and down at idle on there one.say i go out and start her up now the rpms are at about 700 on muffs. then i shut her off let cool down. start back up and she is tryin not to die at arond 300 to 400 rpms . after all the work and money i sunk i want her to run like a top.this bearing issue can i limp her around the lake for afew more weeks.i hope you all can give me some feed back
