1969 murcury 65 horse no spark

does anybody know how to test a coil on one of these motors also it seems to be an obsolete part were to find one if bad ?

(coil secondary check) remove all plug wires, measure from the spark plug cap to ground, there should be a resistance there, mine was about 950 ohms each (coil primary check) measure the red wire on each to ground, all should be close to the same. Check all ground wires on each coil. If its all good there, your into a switch box or maybe triggers.

I just replaced a coil on my '77, it was still available but twice teh cost of the newer version. Many of these coils have shown up on Ebay.
