"I acquired this motor and I have no idea what the gas/oil mixture is, maintenence I may need to perform etc before taking out on the lake. I have ran in a barrell and seems to run ok. Any suggestions for getting started? This is all new to me!!"

This is a pretty hardy little motor. If you have gotten a good one... be happy and run the heck out of it. Service manuals are readily avalible on line through this site, or on ebay, but are invaluable when performing normal maintanance through everything to know when doing a complete rebuild. Use good TWC-3 two cycle oil, keep an eye on the the spark plugs, and look at the lower unit gear case lube to make sure there's no water in it(milky). Make sure there's water coming out of the pee hole out back and you should be good to go."
