"I have a 1969 evinrude with e

"I have a 1969 evinrude with electric shift . When I run the boat full throttle it seems like it loses power for a second then comes back . It does that the whole time . When I let off the throttle slightly it quits doing it . I have no other problems other than that . Somebody told me it may be the fuel pump but i can't seem to be able to find a rebuild kit for this year . The first time I ran it no problems , the second time i ran it , this is what happened . Any suggestions ? Thanks"

"If it's a fuel starvation

"If it's a fuel starvation problem, having someone pump the fuel primer bulb (acting as a manual fuel pump) would eliminate that scenario. And if so, replace the fuel pump.

This assunes that there are no sir/fuel leaks between the fuel pump and the fuel supply which would cause the fuel pump to draw air."

with what i explained was goin

with what i explained was going on with this does it sound like a fuel problem ? I have no idea either way . I had someone else tell me that it could be .

A sharp instantenous increase/

A sharp instantenous increase/decrease of rpms would be ignition.

A fairly slow smooth change of rpms would be fuel.
