1968 Starcraft windshield seal / weather strip

Good morning, I have a 1968 aluminum 16' Starcraft that I am replacing the windshield on. I am having trouble finding the seal that goes across the front lower part of the windshield. The slot for the strip is only 1/16" wide and the strip is about 3/8" tall. Any suggestions ?

I would go visit my local auto glass shop...they can likely provide you a decent glazing tape or a tube of a viable sealer with the spacers...

Curious as to where you found the actual windshield?

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually had the Lady at the parts counter at Smoker Craft, Marge Keiter, look for the seals for me with no luck. She had some great suggestions though. I am having the windshield made at UPD Plastics inc. in Florida. They make a windshield for an earlier Starcraft Jupiter that seems to be the same. I sent them the windshield frame so they can match it to be sure. Eddie
 
ok...I'd be inclined to ask UPD what they suggest as well...especially if they are offering a warranty for the custom sheet

They only supply the windshield. Been doing a lot of thinking..... I took out all the retaining clips in the windshield track and am going to use urethane in place. With this being said I don't believe that any seal is needed as Urethane is very resilient to the weather.
