Greetings -- I just pulled the motor out of moth balls and I need some help... I pulled the plugs -- cleaned checked for spark which is good. I had a little water coming out of the bottom screw when I checked the lower unit. I had to crank it and it runs good after sitting for 10 years with just s a few pulls. It doesn't pee though so I'm sure I need an impeller & seals. It's been some time since I've done this -- is it tough and where can I get these parts.? Thanks for any help!! I love this old motor it's sitting on a 1965 Orlando Clipper Alum 14ft -- my wife thinks I'm crazy...

The major portion of maintainence parts would no doubt be found here and on other marine sites, Sierra, Marine supply stores, your local dealership, etc.

Clean and rebuild the carburetor while you're at it.

Your wife should know. Just kidding, those were great motors, made before the anti-pollution laws messed them up.
You are at one of the best parts sources in the country right now.

I was surprised that it cranked after a few pulls after sitting for some time -- I'm not going to jack with the carb right now until after I get it in the water. It seems I need Sierra part # 18-3377 and # 18-2684 -- do the seals and impeller..... It's been awhile since I've done this -- I can't remember the difficulty? So good pics or step by step would help --anyone have this?

Seals & Impeller kits installed... It wasn't fun. I saw an ad on Craigslist for a mechanic who works on the oldies! I brought it to him and we tackled it together. The 6 bottom bolts on the lower unit were seized on so we had to heat tweak easy out and drill them out. It's all back together running great pumping and kicking. Now I'll hit the lake when the wind eases some.
