First post for me.

I bought this older motor and it was running fine for several months. Then last week I hit a submerged log and now it has picked up a missfire. It will run fine but every 10 to 15 seconds it will act like one cylinder fires early? I have replaced the flywheel key, it was damaged but not sheared, and replaced the nail that was used for the prop drive pin with no improvement. Any ideas??

If this misfire takes place at a low rpm, it is usually due to a carburetor set too lean on the slow speed needle valve.

Thanks, I found your other post on carb adjustments. I tried it today and it seems to have fixed my problem. I will put it in the water tomorrow to find out. Thanks again.
