Well, I've replaced all of the wiring by the service manual color coding in the motor out to the boat end and am ready to go to the ignition switch. This wouldn't pose a problem for me except my Seloc 1958-72 repair manual is in black and white and the photo of the ignition switch is not legible enough to make out the lettering.
Could anyone tell me in rotation where the wires go? I don't necessarily need it by color and component, just whichever you may have handy.
The switch I have in the installed position (photo above) starting at dead bottom clockwise;
A (a double terminal)
M
B
M
S
The colors I have are;
16 ga white from the solenoid
18 ga black from cut-off switch (magneto?)
18 ga black wire from coil/armature area
18 ga purple w/white stripe from choke solenoid
18 ga gray from cut-out switch mounting screw
18 ga tan from temp switch (just goes to light?)
16 ga orange from "BAT side of voltage reg (to GEN side of ammeter?)
16 ga red from solenoid (to BAT side of ammeter?)
Then I have a blue and a green (14 or 16 ga) wires coming from the lower unit for.....? No idea where these should end up at.
